Frequently asked questions
How does campaign bidding work?
On danbo, campaign bidding functions similarly to an auction. Here, you determine the maximum amount you're willing to pay for 1,000 impressions of your ad. Bidding auctions occur every time an ad spot is viewed on your publisher's site. The highest bidder wins the spot and is charged just $0.01 more than the second-highest bid. However, if there's only one bidder, they will be charged the minimum bid rate of $0.05, ensuring you receive the best value for your budget.
Why is my campaign not getting views?
There could be several reasons your campaign isn’t receiving views. The most common reason is that your campaigns bid is too low compared to other advertisers competing for the same ad spot. The ad spaces are awarded to the highest bidder, so try increasing your bid to be more competitive. If your bid rate is sufficiently high, ensure that your targeting criteria isn't too restrictive and that your ad content meets our platform's guidelines. If you've checked these factors and still face issues, please reach out to our support team for assistance.
How does a daily budget differ from a total budget?
A daily budget refers to the maximum amount you're willing to spend on your campaign in a single day. Once the daily spend hits this limit, your ads will stop showing for the rest of that day, resuming the next day if the campaign is still active. It provides advertisers with day-to-day control and predictability over their spending.
A total budget represents the overall amount you're willing to spend for the entire duration of the ad campaign. Once your expenditures reach this amount, your ads will stop running, regardless of how many days the campaign has been active.
When do daily budget counters reset?
At midnight Pacific Standard Time.
What happens when I outbid someone?
When you outbid another advertiser, your ad gets the priority for display over the outbid ad for the chosen spot. However, you won't necessarily pay your maximum bid amount. Instead, you'll pay $0.01 more than the second highest bid, ensuring you're getting good value. It's worth noting that the advertising landscape is dynamic, meaning advertisers can place new bids or edit bids at any time, so it's a good idea to monitor your campaigns and adjust your bids as necessary to stay competitive.
How does billing work?
Users pre-purchase advertising credit, which acts as a currency for bidding in our auction system. When you win a bid for an ad spot, the cost is deducted from your pre-allocated campaign budget consisting of advertising credit. We accept both cryptocurrency and credit/debit cards as payment methods.
What is a frequency cap?
A frequency cap is used to limit the number of times a specific ad is shown to a single user within a defined time period. This helps ensure advertisers can reach a broader audience without wasting multiple campaign impressions on a single user. On our platform, the frequency cap resets every night at midnight, PST. This means that if you've set a cap for your ad to be shown three times to a user in a day, they can potentially see it three times again starting from 12:01 AM PST the next day.
When does a frequency cap reset?
A frequency cap limit is unique to each user who views your campaign, with the timer starting at the first view. This means that if you've set a cap for your ad to be shown three times to a user in a day, after the third view, they won't see the ad 24 hours from the first time they viewed it.
